  1. I enjoyed the video and I’ve read a few of your articles; I’m going to read more. I wrote an essay about Acts 2:38 at http://godfervor.com/salvation several years ago, but I just got the Holy Ghost October 6th. I waited until after that to post the essay on my website, because I didn’t feel right about teaching something I hadn’t completely experienced myself. I haven’t spoken in tongues since that night at a revival last month and sometimes I get discouraged, so I pray that I will experience this again throughout my life. I recently got out of prison following over 13 years of incarceration, and during that time I regularly wondered if I had ignored God too long for me to have a chance of being saved. After all that, I know there can be no turning back for me. I’ve been through too much to backslide and I regularly pray for the strength to stay on that straight and narrow path. I’m curious; do you know of people who’ve spoken in tongues just once yet remained faithful to God?

    1. Mickey,

Congratulations on receiving the Holy Ghost! I’m so very happy for you! I also rejoice with you over your release from prison, and your immediate seeking out of the Church. Thank you so much for reading my words. I followed your link and have read your article on salvation halfway through. I will finish it when I have the time.

I’m amazed that you wrote this article before you were born again, if I understood correctly. Your words are powerful, and so much more so with God’s Spirit within you.

As to your question, first I want to encourage you that you WILL speak in tongues again. I do know people who haven’t spoken in tongues in a looong time, yet remain faithful as far as church attendance. I would encourage you to not allow yourself to fall into this group. It’s a slippery slope.

      It’s usually either because:
      1. They have allowed sin into their lives.
      2. They are harboring something in their hearts that they are unwilling to relinquish control over to the Spirit.
      3. Or what I feel is probably your situation, they have never understood how simple it is to drop into the Spirit. Think of how easy a baby cries or babbles.

      I think you’ve inspired a future new video.😉

      1. I’m actually a man, but it’s no big deal that you referred to me as “Sis. Mickey,” seeing as I’m just an invisible screen name here. Anyway, I did in fact write that essay and the others that are currently on my site while in prison, BEFORE being filled with the Holy Ghost. I feel more passionate about writing now, so I plan to keep my blog active. I’ve read some more of your stuff since my last comment and plan to eventually have all of your writings read. Keep up the good work.

        1. Mickey,

I apologize for the assumption…Leasson learned. I don’t remember you mentioning having been baptized in Jesus’ name. I hope you have experienced this part of the salvation plan. Thanks again for reading, reaching out, and inspiring future writing and video projects for me.
